Aluminum is the world’s greatest recycling success story – and EGA Spectro Alloys is at the heart of it. For over 50 years in Minnesota, we have turned what is used into what is new.

Our customers are in the automotive, power sports, home, turf and snow maintenance, and many other industries. They use our recycled aluminum to make new products people use every day, from cars and snowmobiles to industrial equipment and home appliances. 

Most of our feedstock is regionally sourced, post-consumer scrap aluminum. Our advanced sorting and shredding capabilities enable us to use 30 different types of scrap from more than 250 suppliers. Recycling aluminum takes 95 percent less energy than making new metal, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainability.

We use premium equipment in our end-to-end production process to produce a complete line of AA die cast and foundry aluminum alloys. Our commitment to quality is reflected in every step of our process, from the careful segregation, sorting, shredding, and drying of scrap, to our advanced continuous casting and highly developed quality management process. We provide better solutions through innovation, making us regional leaders in aluminum recycling.

We make daily deliveries to local customers, freeing up their working capital. Our network of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) relationships, contacts, and program awareness provides valuable business opportunities for our customers across North America.
