Request or renew your MMS Membership

 Anyone  interested in microscopes and micro-analysis is invited to join MMS.  We are  professionals, teachers, students and amateurs who share an interest in the use of microsopes.  We represent all the biological and  material sciences.

Volunteer for Project MICRO, our outreach program which encourages kids of all ages to explore science with microscopes.

Membership dues

Student = $5.00 USD

You must be at least a half time student to qualify.  MMS Membership looks great on a resume!

Regular = $10.00 USD

This rate has not changed in 30+ years!

Patron = $25.00 USD

For those who want to give more than Regular dues.  Your name will be listed as a Patron member in The Scope issues published during the membership year.

Individual Sustaining = $100.00 USD

For those who want to support MMS at a level beyond the Patron level.  Your name will be listed as a Sustaining member in The Scope issues published during the membership year.

Corporate Sponsor = $100.00 USD

Corporate Sponsors are the backbone of financial support for the Society. These
members make it possible for the Society to support Project Micro and to cover many
expenses of the regular meetings and the Spring Symposium. 

Each Corporate Sponsor receives a free display table (on first come first serve basis) at the Spring Symposium, will be listed in The Scope issues published during the membership year, and will be listed on the MMS website Corporate Sponsor webpage.

Note About MMS Membership

One annual membership follows the financial year from January 1 to December 31; while MMS events and activities follow the academic year from Fall/September to Spring/May of next year.  MMS Membership dues are not tax deductible.

If joining MMS or renewing your membership, please fill out the applicable application/renewal form below.

The completed form can be saved and e-mailed or printed and mailed to the addresses on the form.

Please complete the application/renewal by making the applicable dues payment with the PayPal link below or by mailed check.

Minnesota Microscopy Society Membership Dues


Pay with PayPal or a debit/credit card

The button will take you to a PayPal transaction form where you can pay your dues either via your PayPal account or with a credit card.

On the initial PayPay screen do one of the following:

Single membership: fill in the amount for the membership level you desire in the "Price Per Item" field and leave quantity as "1".

Multiple memberships, same level: fill in the "Price Per Item" field for one membership and change the quantity.

Multiple memberships, mixed levels:  fill in the "Price Per Item" field with the total amount for all memberships being paid and leave quantity as "1".


Donations are much appreciated and will help the society continue with its members education and support our outreach program called Project MICRO.  Unfortunately, donations are not tax deductible.  Thank you for your support!
